What is the value of an excellent Christian education?
We understand that Christian education is a significant financial commitment, and we, the UBCA School Board and staff, deeply appreciate the trust you place in us. But beyond the cost, there is the call to “train up a child” (Proverbs 22:6), a responsibility we take to heart. At UBCA, we partner with families in this important journey in four meaningful ways.
Faith-Based Environment – At UBCA, our mission is to nurture and strengthen the spiritual lives of our students, guiding them to build a firm, Christ-centered foundation that will endure throughout their lives. We are committed to fostering this foundation through the practice and teaching of key spiritual disciplines such as prayer, the study and application of God’s Word, and regular fellowship with students, faculty, and parents. Central to our community life is weekly chapel, where we gather in worship and reflection, seeking to grow in our relationship with Christ. As students engage in these disciplines, they deepen their understanding of God’s purpose for their lives and begin to embody the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—reflecting Christ’s character in all they do. Through this holistic approach, we strive to prepare students not just for academic success, but for a life of faithful service to God and others.

Biblical Character Development – Why is this important? As followers of Christ, we are commanded by God to “love our neighbors as ourselves” (Mark 12:31), showing His love consistently to those around us. Biblical love is not self-serving, but selfless, sacrificial, and rooted in authenticity. At UBCA, we are committed to helping students understand and practice this kind of love by treating their classmates with dignity, respect, and kindness, reflecting Christ’s love in their relationships. This transformation does not happen by accident; it requires intentional discipleship and instruction in biblical truth. We guide students toward personal accountability, encouraging them to make choices that honor their parents, teachers, peers, and ultimately God Himself. This is an ongoing journey of growth and maturity in Christ, and it requires a strong partnership with families to build lasting character that reflects the heart of God.
Emphasis on Community – Building a community centered around shared biblical values is foundational to the spiritual formation of our students. At UBCA, our faculty and staff are dedicated to being Christ-like mentors who demonstrate love, grace, and humility in their relationships with students and families. We aim to cultivate a community where acts of kindness, service, and encouragement are the norm, modeling the love of Christ in tangible ways (Galatians 5:13). Our desire is for all students to feel safe, valued, and empowered to develop the unique gifts and talents God has entrusted to them. In this environment, students not only grow academically, but spiritually, learning to love and serve one another as Christ has loved them (John 13:34-35).
Faith-Based Curriculum – We recognize that the resources we use to educate students are not just tools for academic growth, but also powerful influences on their worldview. At UBCA, we are committed to selecting curricular materials that are grounded in biblical truth and help students see the world through the lens of Scripture. We understand that the way we teach shapes not only their knowledge but also their understanding of God’s purpose for their lives. Therefore, we carefully choose resources that challenge students to grow in both academic excellence and spiritual maturity, fostering a robust Christian worldview that equips them to navigate the world with wisdom, courage, and faithfulness to Christ. Our goal is to provide a rigorous education that pushes students to their highest potential while consistently pointing them back to God’s Word as the foundation for all truth.
We thank you wholeheartedly for partnering with us!
